Section 2 (Chemistry) - 5 Multiple Choice Questions with one or more correct options out of four.
Section 3 (Math) - 5 questions and the answer to each will be a single digit integer ranging from 0-9.
JEE Advanced 2014 Paper 2
Section1 (Physics) - 8 MCQ with one or more correct option out of four.
Section 2 (Chemistry) - Four paragraphs in theory, practical, data. There will be 8 questions in total with 2 questions per paragraph. Each question shall 4 options with one correct option.
Section 3 (Math) - Matching List type questions where two lists are matched and options coded as A, B,C and D. Candidates have to choose the option according to the code.
Syllabus:
About 45 per cent of the JEE question paper is made of questions from the class 11 syllabus, whereas the remaining 55 per cent is made of questions from the class 12 syllabus.
Tips:
Each subject is equally important hence should be given equal time to each. Focus on the class 12 board exam topics and follow it up by revising the class 11 topics.
Once you are through with the exam syllabus, start solving mock test papers.
These tests not only check the level of preparation of the individual, but also make aware about command over the subject, speed of solving questions and help single out the weak areas to focus on.
stick to one source and not to refer to multitude of books/ study material available in the market.
Avoid selective study as the questions in the paper are based on intermingling of concepts from various topics.
Always start from the basics and build on the important concepts.
While solving the sample question papersavoid leaving the question in between. Solving these questions will help them see how close they were to the answer and work on the right area.
Never cram. Instead, they should try and understand the problem or theory.
Avoid over-stressing by going beyond the syllabus and learning extra topics.
